Entry Fees - Updated 07/23/12

The Total Entry Fee for District IV Teams participating in the 2012 Washington Youth Soccer Recreational Cup will again be $300 per team. Each team should pay this fee directly to their individual club. District IV will pay the state it's portion of the fee ($100 total/team) from the total entry fee paid District IV.

District IV Member Teams/Clubs/Associations are NOT to send any money directly to the State for the Recreational Cup. The District will be sending one check to Washington Youth Soccer covering the entry free for all District IV teams participating in the 2012 Recreational Cup.

The Entry Fees for all accepted teams will be billed (via the District IV website) to each applicable club by the District following the Application Deadline.

Some things to know about fees and awards for the 2012 District IV Recreational Cup:

  • Last year the state changed the format for the state portion of the tournament. It eliminated the former State Preliminary Round Robin portion of the Cup and instead, the state portion of the Cup commenced with a Quarter Final Round.
  • These Quarter Final Round matches have presented new additional costs for Fields and Referees that are not covered by the state.
  • District IV chose last year to absorb all of these additional costs for those District IV teams scheduled by the state to host a Quarter Final Round match.
  • In addition to these Quarter Final Round expenses, this year the state has raised the portion of the Recreational Cup fee it receives from $75/Team in 2011 to $100/Team for 2012.
  • District IV wishes to keep its Recreational Cup fee as low as possible so as not to discourage teams from participating due to cost. Therefore, District IV has decided to continue to absorb these additional expenses while not raising its fees.
  • In order to maintain the overall District IV Recreational Cup Fee at $300/Team, it has decided to eliminate the issuance of individual Recreational Cup Medals to the winning teams.
  • Therefore for 2012, each D4 Recreational Cup winning team will receive T-Shirts and a D4 Recreational Cup Championship plaque (no individual medals).
