NSYSA and OYSA Application Process for the 2013 Sports Authority Washington Youth Soccer

Entry Fees - Updated 08/25/13

The Total Entry Fee for District IV Teams participating in the 2013 Washington Youth Soccer Recreational Cup will again be $300 per team. Each team should pay this fee directly to their individual club.

Teams/Clubs are NOT to send any money directly to the State for the Recreational Cup. The NSYSA will be sending one check to Washington Youth Soccer covering the entry fee for all NSYSA/District IV teams participating in the 2013 Recreational Cup.

The Entry Fees for all accepted teams will be billed (via the NSYSA/District IV website) to each applicable club by the NSYSA following the Application Deadline.

Some things to know about fees and awards for the 2013 District IV Recreational Cup:

In 2011 the state changed the format for the state portion of the tournament. It eliminated the former State Preliminary Round Robin portion of the Cup and instead, the state portion of the Cup commenced with a Quarter Final Round.

These Quarter Final Round matches have presented new additional costs for Fields and Referees that are not covered by the state.

NSYSA and OYSA wishes to keep its Recreational Cup fee as low as possible so as not to discourage teams from participating due to cost.

Therefore, each D4 Recreational Cup winning team will receive T-Shirts and a NSYSA/D4 Recreational Cup Championship plaque (no individual medals)

NSYSA and OYSA Coaches/Team Staff Members should Log-on to the NSYSA/D4 website and click on the Coach Segment:

Note: Those Team Staff Members affiliated with more than one team, remember to mark the applicable team Active before proceeding.

Select Applications > Recreational Cup

Click on Apply to submit the team's application

The application will then be reviewed and either Approved or Denied by the applicable Club & Association Registrar's. The team's Application Status will be visible to the team at this same link on the NSYSA website.

Coaches/Team Staff Members, make sure that you read the updated 2013 Recreational Cup Rules-> before signing your team up.

The Deadline to submit your 2013 Washington Youth Soccer Recreational Cup Application to your Association is 5PM Monday 10/7/13.
Each of the Associations Clubs may establish their own earlier deadlines to ensure they have sufficient time to process the applications for the tournament.

NSYSA/District IV may choose to accept a late entry on a case by case basis. Such acceptance will only occur if in the opinion of the District, the acceptance of such a late entry benefits the scheduling and play of the tournament.

Please note that there have been several modifications concerning Team Eligibility for the 2013 Tournament.
